My goal is to provide information that helps you feel informed, whether you’re planning a home birth or simply exploring available options. These answers are here to guide you.   • A midwife is a licensed provider who offers complete care throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period for low-risk pregnancies. Midwives combine clinical knowledge with a respect for the natural birth process, supporting both the physical and emotional needs of mother and baby through attentive, personalized medical care. Most midwives work outside of hospital settings.

  • Most women with low-risk pregnancies are great candidates for out-of-hospital birth. If you're free from major medical complications, you are likely a great candidate for midwifery care.

    Even with complications, out-of-hospital birth is still sometimes an option. Your consultation is important for this reason. During this time, we'll discuss your health history, previous pregnancies, and your vision for welcoming your baby. Together, we'll decide what type of care feels right for you.

  • Prenatal visits are relaxed and focused entirely on you and your growing baby. We’ll spend time on your health and your baby’s well-being, but also spend time discussing nutrition, emotions, and how to prepare your mind and body for birth. Each visit is a chance to build trust and help you feel confident and supported every step of the way. You can expect to spend 30-60 minutes at your appointment, depending on your gestation.

    When your birth comes, you can expect calm, continuous care from a licensed midwife and a trained birth assistant. We’ll support you in finding your rhythm while keeping a watchful eye on both you and your baby’s safety. Our role is to protect your space and help your birth unfold naturally.

  • As a licensed midwife, I provide complete prenatal, birth, and postpartum care for clients planning home births in Northeast Oklahoma.

  • Your consultation is a cost-free, welcoming conversation designed to help us get to know one another. We’ll talk about your pregnancy, your health history, your hopes for birth, and what type of care feels most supportive for you and your family. I’ll explain how my services work and answer any questions you may have about midwifery care. I offer in-person or digital consultations.

  • It’s best to reach out early, ideally in your first or early second trimester, so we have time to build a strong connection and create a care plan that reflects your needs and wishes.

  • I do attend water births, and I truly love supporting families who choose this peaceful way to welcome their babies. In fact, I personally experienced a water birth during my second labor and found it to be a deeply soothing and therapeutic experience.

    While I don’t provide a birth pool for client use, birth pools are easy to obtain and can be purchased new online for around $200–$400, or rented for about $50–$150. I also strongly encourage a disposable liner and hose (around $50) to make cleanup easier. I’m happy to help guide you through selecting and setting up your birth pool equipment so that your water birth experience feels convenient and serene.

  • Yes, I offer flexible payment options to make midwifery care more accessible. You're welcome to pay on your own schedule, as long as your balance is paid in full by your initial due date. Midwifery clients who complete payment by 36 weeks of gestation receive a $200 discount as a thank-you for prompt payment. I accept payment in the form of cash, check, or electronic payment.

    Unfortunately, I do not accept insurance as I am an out-of-network provider. At your six-week postpartum visit, I can create a superbill for you to share with your insurance representative if you’d like to request reimbursement. Since reimbursement varies from policy to policy, I require payment in full. SoonerCare does not offer reimbursements. I hope that one day, all families will have equal access to coverage for the birth options they choose.

  • I do work with breech, VBAC, and twin pregnancies, but each is considered on a case-by-case basis. During your consultation, we’ll take time to review your health history, discuss any risks, and determine together whether your circumstances are a good fit for my care. My goal is always to support safe and well-informed birth experiences.
