Birth work has always been part of my life. I was born in a small home in Kansas and now live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I come from a line of women who cared for mothers and babies, which fuels my passion. My mother was a traditional midwife, and my grandmother was a nurse in California.

I’m a mom of three amazing kids. I chose to have two of them at home, without medical interventions, in 2000 and 2004. The third joined our family through adoption in 2011. Each of their stories shaped who I am as a mother and a midwife. They have taught me that birth is a powerful and unique experience.

I am lucky enough to have been attending births since 2000, and over the years, I’ve been honored to be part of more than 1,000 births in various capacities. I started as a doula, supporting and advocating for clients in hospital settings. Later, I trained and worked as a midwife assistant for 15 years and a student midwife for 4 years, gaining hands-on experience with individual and group midwifery practices. In May of 2025, I earned my Certified Professional Midwife credential through the North American Registry of Midwives and became a Licensed Midwife with the Oklahoma State Department of Health.

My approach to care is simple. I believe families deserve to feel informed, supported, and respected throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I blend traditional birth wisdom with modern, evidence-based practices. I use tools like acupressure, rebozo techniques, TENS therapy, and the peanut ball to help ease labor and support progress.

My Philosophy

Birth is not something to control; it’s something to empower and honor. My role is to help each family find their own strength in the process. I am committed to honoring every family I serve with respect, compassion, and care that is free of judgment.
